About the Role

We are seeking LE1, LE2 and trainee Linespersons to join our growing power networks delivery team, working on overhead line (OHL) construction, refurbishment and associated power systems works.

These roles form part of our long‑term workload across major utility frameworks, delivering critical electricity infrastructure safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Opportunities are available for those at entry level through to experienced, fully authorised Linespersons, with clear progression and development pathways.

The Roles

LE1 Linesperson

This role is suited to experienced, fully competent Linespersons with significant OHL delivery experience.

You will:

  • Undertake complex OHL construction activities as part of a lead squad.
  • Work confidently within live network environments in accordance with safety rules
  • Act as a key technical resource on site, supporting less experienced team members
  • Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and productivity at all times

LE2 Linesperson

This role is suited to individuals with existing OHL experience and relevant authorisations.

You will:

  • Carry out overhead line construction and maintenance activities under direction
  • Work in accordance with method statements, risk assessments, and safety rules
  • Support pole erection, dressing, conductor installation, and associated works
  • Assist Supervisors in maintaining safe and productive sites

Trainee Linesperson

This role is suited to individuals looking to build a career in the power networks industry.

You will:

  • Support experienced Linespersons and Supervisors on OHL construction activities
  • Learn safe working practices, tools, plant, and materials used in power networks
  • Undertake structured training and on‑the‑job development towards LE2 authorisation
  • Work outdoors in varied environments as part of a team
  • No previous OHL experience is required — full training and mentoring will be provided for the right candidate.

What We’re Looking For

  • Depending on level, you will have:
  • A strong work ethic and a commitment to safety
  • Experience working outdoors in construction or utilities (preferred)
  • Existing OHL authorisations (for LE1 / LE2 roles)
  • Willingness to travel and work across project locations
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
