About the Role
MAL Civils is growing, and we’re looking for experienced Gangers to join our expanding civil engineering team. You’ll be responsible for leading site crews, coordinating daily activities, and ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
This role is ideal for someone who leads from the front, communicates clearly, and takes pride in well‑run, productive sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise site teams to ensure safe and efficient delivery of works
- Coordinate daily tasks, labour, plant, and materials
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and productivity
- Ensure compliance with all health & safety procedures
- Report progress and raise issues promptly
- Interpret drawings and communicate requirements to the team
- Promote a positive, safe, and collaborative working environment
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Ganger or lead operative
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work hands‑on while directing others
- Solid understanding of health & safety requirements
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings
- CSCS card required; SSSTS/SMSTS desirable
- Full UK driving licence
